Celebrations begin Friday evening, November 11, with the traditional Céilí/Kick-off Party at the Larne Building, 103 N Main Street. Tickets are $20 per person, which includes 1 meal, 2 beer / wine, 1 round whiskey or scotch tasting. Event is strictly for adults 21 & over. No children. Saturday will continue with the opening of the festival and games at 9 AM at Blue Eagle Academy’s walking trail. The event will feature the family favorite Border Collie demonstrations, Irish dancers, puppeteer, storyteller, performances from Jamestown Pipes and Drums and music by Tom Eure – a singer/songwriter bringing blends of folk, celtic, gospel, early rock & roll and a dash of old time.
The free festival will also feature food and merchandise vendors as well as the highly anticipated Southeastern Highland Athletics competitions. Festivities will culminate with a traditional bagpiper’s performance and athletics awards ceremony.
