Established June 2003, the Museum of Western York County, located in the rural setting of the Town of Sharon, SC, provides a link to the history of the region. The museum has preserved documents and objects relating to the history and growth of this Piedmont County’s story. The museum’s main exhibits include a 1930-1940s country kitchen; an 1860 Yorkville bedroom; an 1890’s eclectic dining room; a historic documents room; a research library of over 1,200 volumes; the War Room – where veterans of Western York County are honored for their service -and an early 20th Century classroom.
Admission: Adults $5.00, Students $3.00, 12 and under Free.
