A lifelong resident of North Carolina, Winget began her professional career after earning a Fine Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As the demand for her artwork grew, she opened a working art studio – The Farmhouse Studio – in 1987. For more than thirty years, Winget’s pastoral eighty-acre farm in Charlotte, North Carolina, has provided constant inspiration for her artwork. Today, many of her paintings can be found in private and corporate collections around the world. Her award-winning artwork has also been displayed at such national venues as the White House and the National Historic Trust. Winget is a contributing artist to Springs Creative fabric design.
