Founded in 1932, the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra is the largest and most active professional performing arts organization in the central Carolinas – giving nearly one hundred performances each season and reaching an annual attendance of 200,000 listeners.
Performance repertoire includes most of the standard symphonic masterpieces, especially the great symphonies of Gustav Mahler and choral orchestral works by Verdi, Mozart, and Berlioz.
