The Arts Council of York County is excited to announce the “Three x Three Performing Arts Series!” The season kicks off on Friday, September 12, 2014, with Grammy-nominees, The Greencards.
The Greencards’ music is called progressive bluegrass. Drawing from Irish folk, rock ‘n roll, and Latin American influences to keep their fans on their toes, this dynamic group has touched individuals around the world with their rare and effortless sound while touring both on their own and with legends such as Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson.
Over the years, the group has won an Americana Honor & Award for New/Emerging Artist of the Year in 2006, and is a three-time Grammy nominee – in 2008, 2010, and most recently in 2014, for their album entitled, “Sweetheart of the Sun.” The Greencards relocated from Australia to Austin, Texas in 2002 and haven’t looked back.
