Get your ‘vittles’ on at the Museum of York County’s “An Afternoon with Ronni Lundy.”
Award-winning cookbook author, Ronni Lundy, will share her expertise and affection for Appalachian foodways. This event will include a silent auction, sumptuous food for guests to sample, and book signings (books also available for purchase).
The author’s Victuals: An Appalachian Journey with Recipes received two James Beard Foundation book awards this year – first place award for American Cooking and also Book of the Year. Victuals (pronounced ‘vittles’) also received the International Association of Culinary Professionals’ 2017 award for Best American Cookbook. Her Shuck Beans, Stack Cakes and Honest Fried Chicken: The Heart and Soul of Southern Country Kitchens is one of Gourmet Magazine’s top six essential books on southern cooking. Recipient of the 2009 Southern Foodways Alliance’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Lundy has been a contributing writer for magazines such as Eating Well; Gourmet; Bon Appétit; and Esquire.
