Born and raised in the South Carolina Upstate, Nikki Lane is known as the ‘First Lady of Outlaw Country.’ Lane’s unbridled spirit and retro-glam flair punctuate her appeal as a gifted singer/songwriter. “Highway Queen,” released in early 2017, crisscrosses musical genres and showcases Lane’s ability to captivate. She’s garnered nods from NPR, the Guardian and Rolling Stone. The 2018 Southern Sound Series is presented by Rock Hill Coca-Cola. Dedicated to providing the regional community with authentic contemporary performances, the series showcases musical genres that are steeped in the multi-cultural origins of the Carolinas.
