Take a Child Outside is an initiative of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences with partners, internationally. The goal is to help children develop a better understanding and appreciation of the environment and an enthusiasm for exploring the natural world by encouraging children and adults to spend time together outdoors.
Celebrate nature, fall flowers, a butterfly release between noon and 1 PM – weather permitting, or try a Scavenger Hunt or new geocache along the trail.
Free for members and children under 3 years of age;
$8 Adults; $7 Seniors 60+; $5 Youth 4-17 years of age
